Jujur ga planning buat beli Dark Amber & Ginger Lily ini tapi pas masuk store nya Jo Malone and sniffed malah sukaa. Ini baunya dominant warm spicy and amber plus a touch of balsamic and I loooove warm spicy scents. Baunya juga calming and quite soft jadi ga yg nyegrak gitu. Floral nya juga masih kecium, especially the water lily, tapi ga dominant. SA nya bilang ini enak kalo dibuat layering sama JM Wood Sage & Sea Salt tapi aku malah kurang suka 🥲 layering combo paling enak buat ini menurut aku JM Scarlet Poppy. Baunya jadi really sophisticated and warm. Sayangnya Dark Amber ini performance nya kurang bagus di aku, only lasts around 2-3 hours with moderate sillage

One of my favourite from the house (@jomalonelondon ). Dark amber & ginger lily. Base notes are sandalwood, patchouli, leather, Kyara Incense (dupa, yes ada wangi dupa nya).

Kyara - The highest grade of Aloeswood is called Kyara, which means "Precious" in ancient Japanese. Kyara has deeper aroma and is more resinous than the average Aloeswood, and it is more expensive per ounce than gold.

I barely smell the ginger & incense. On my skin it's more "watery". I can feel the freshness of water lily.

Awalnya jadi suka koleksi jo malone selain krn ku tergila-gila sama wangi & design bottles nya, ya karena baca biografinya Jo Malone. Berawal dari usaha rumahan, no formal training (she had "a good nose" 😆), krn dy suka bantu usaha ibunya..who sold a handmade range of scented creams and lotions. Sampe akhirnya dy jual jo malone company ke Estee Lauder for ‘undisclosed millions'.

Bener yg dibilang klo udah suka, udah cayang sama suatu brand, pasti sukanya krn historynya.. bukan untuk sekedar ngikutin trend/hype 🖤
